New Baby & Kerri Sorensen

Alli (Greg's wife) had her baby today! She doesn't have a name yet (sounds familiar), and she is the tiniest, sweetest little thing! I would post a picture but Brooklynn has my memory card.

On another note, Devin and I were watching the TLC show, LA Ink and found Kerri Sorensen's voice twin.

Is it ok to call a boy beautiful?

Now ask yourself that same question after looking at this picture.

I was guilted into this...

When Selena was over on Monday, she made me aware that my refrigerator was basically a health code violation. So Selena, guess what I did yesterday, just for you!!!

I Swear I have Friends.

I love my BFFS. I don't get to see them that often and that makes me sad, but when they are in town it sure is fun!
Jessica was in town at the beginning of the month. She is such a cute pregnant girl. She makes the cutest red-haired babies. I can't wait to see the new baby girl!
and I'm sure my faithful blog readers will recognize this girl. She is talented at making ugly faces (as is the girl on the left). I guess when you're a photographer you are good at mixing it up for the camera.
Selena took pictures of Sam today. Isn't it just typical that my all-the-time smilely baby barely smiled at all for the camera??? Oh well. His grumpy faces are cute to me, too.
We attended Leigh Ann's baby's blessing yesterday. She makes it look so easy to have 2 babies. Seeing her keeps putting ideas into my head...

San Diego

This past Sunday on the way to church, I told Devin that we should get out of Hotzona and go somewhere cool. Devin got real excited about that idea, and 7 hours later we were on the road to San Diego! We picked up Brooklynn on the way because she has a tendency to add to the fun.
Here we are heading to the beach. I'd like to introduce you all to my pink hat. This hat goes along with me on my morning walks. Devin is completely embarrassed by it, but it keeps me guarded from the sun, dangit! (plus, it was only $4 at Cabella's).

Sam didn't quite know what to make of the sand. He dove face-first into it a few times. I think he still might have sand in his cute little crack.

Here is my amazing hat again!!!

Devin and Brooklynn on the "Atlantis" ride at Seaworld.

Devin and Sam looking at some of the fish at Seaworld.

Sam was definitely a tired boy that day. He was so well behaved though. I would be pretty grumpy if I had to be in a stoller all day long.

Game Show

Last night Brooklynn, Devin and I deliberated for over an hour about what we should make a video about. This is what we came up with (mostly thanks to Brooklynn).

Samothy is 8 months old

One word to describe Sam at 8 months is HAPPY.

He is so curious. He has to know what's going on at all times. He has major staring problems when we're in public. He will crane his little neck around whatever is blocking his view in order to stare down his person of interest.

He loves the vacuum cleaner and will play around it for up to half an hour.

He's started this new thing where he will pant like a dog and stick his tongue out when he's excited about something. I think he learned this from us because we always act like a dog because he laughs at it. Yeah we will basically do anything to make him laugh. Speaking of laughing...
Here is a video of him laughing yesterday. He usually only laughs hard for Devin, so I of course was eating this up. Don't feel pressured to watch the whole thing- there are no surprises at the end.

At this very moment Sam is in his crib entertaining himself. We have started sleep training over again, which is actually going very well. I just heard banging coming from his room a few minutes ago. When I went in to see what was going on, he had gotten some of the pictures off of the wall behind his crib and was playing with them.

Ok. So this next picture. Sweet Sam already has a favorite toy. It's the one that's attached to his body, if you know what I mean. I recently saw this picture on Brooklynn's facebook and just started cracking up. Please notice Sam in the foreground of this picture. This is his position the second his diaper is removed.

Day with Treslee

Today Sam and I went out to Mesa to visit Treslee, Nina, and Elle. It was quite a drive but well worth it. Plus, Sam had great naps on the way there and on the way home. I just love Treslee. I am so glad Rich picked her. Her girls are so sweet. Nina is great with Sam. She walked me out to the car as I was leaving, and I had to stop myself from asking if she could babysit when I remembered she's only 6. Nina and Elle checking themselves out in a mirror at Target
All I have to say about myself in this picture is, "Oh, Allison." I just wish Treslee didn't look so cute beside me.
My main man Sam letting it all hang out.
