Holy Cow I'm Pregnant
I'm showing! 17.5 weeks along.

It is starting to sink in that we are going to have another child. I am getting pretty excited. We find out the sex on Wednesday! I am so in love with my sweet boy Sam. He is the funnest boy I know. I love his messy hair and his horrible morning breath. I love the way he says "truck" repeatedly whenever he hears the garbage man. I love that he didn't make it through his first Sunday in nursery because he was missing me so badly:) He's the best.

I am feeling God's love so strongly tonight. Do you ever have nights when you feel weirdly happy for no reason at all? That's the Spirit, y'all! Anyway, I love my life and just thought I'd share.
I also thought I'd share this picture taken at the mall today of Leigh ann and her sweet boys. They love her.

Gaining Weight isn't Nearly as Fun as Losing it.
This past Friday, I weighed myself for the first time this pregnancy at my in-law's house. The verdict: 17.7 lbs. gained. Oh gosh it's starting again. I knew it would. I can feel my body growing but I just can't seem to come to terms with the fact that I AM going to get as big as I did with Sam and I MIGHT get even bigger. Some of you may be wondering where the heck my Maker's Diet passion went. I have tried twice to hop back on the bandwagon, but when I do I usually end up throwing up (lack of carbs, I guess?) I asked my doctor if it is safe to try and go back on my diet, and he said absolutely yes, since it's not really a diet (not restricting how much you eat) as it is a healthful way of eating. See? I still believe in it! I just don't practice what I preach anymore. That's ok though. At least I have a battle plan for how to lose the weight after this baby. As far as not feeling huge and insecure for the next 5 months? I don't have a battle plan for that.

Heavenly
My pregnant sister-in-law, Mindy, described a "thirsty stage" within pregnancy. Ladies and Gentlemen, I have arrived. Allow me to introduce the most heavenly drink known to mankind: Simply Lemonade with Raspberry. I'm obsessed. It's on sale right now at Bashas' for only $2.17!

This picture of myself embarrasses me. What would embarrass me more though would be to attempt more poses with my lemonade.

Conference
Devin is putting grass in our backyard. This is very exciting because Sam loves to be outside. During conference on Saturday, Devin and Mr. Ryan Forbes faithfully listened to the morning session online while digging trenches in the backyard. Sam can't stand to be inside if his beloved daddy is outside, so this is what Sam looked like during conference:

and this is what I looked like inside all alone:

To those of you who questioned whether or not we're having twins, Come on. April Fools. I would expect my sweet sister Whitney to fall for it, but not Amy Blair.

Was Today's Forecast an April Fool's Joke?
All week long I have been looking forward to Thursday, because on Thursday, the weather forecast called for rain. Ever since moving to Arizona back in 1992, I have cherished the few and far-between rainy days in Arizona. Devin and I checked the report again last night before bed, and the chances for rain stood strong, a 70% chance, in fact.
When I walked out of our bedroom this morning, I was ticked when I saw sunny skies!!!!!
By noon, the sky was still cloudless and I was convinced that all media outlets were in on some sort of cruel April Fool's joke.
As a teenager, I had the dream of becoming the next Al Roker (weatherman on the Today Show). I even went to school at Mississippi State University for a while in pursuit of my broadcast meteorology career. After gaining some experience at a local news station here in Phoenix, I changed my mind and decided to become mom instead :)
I guess what I'm trying to say here is that I feel myself a smidge justified to be upset when I am promised rain and that promise doesn't get delivered. I really wish it had rained today.
Happy April Fool's Day!
