tagged by Brooklynn

I was tagged by Brooklynn to go into my "my pictures" folder, choose the 4th folder, then choose the 4th picture. This is a picture of sweet Dev at our wedding. I have never seen him look more handsome than he did that day. By the looks of the picture, it looks like Brenda agrees. I now tag Stacie, Selena, Amy, and Jessica to do this!

Is that a torpedo or what?

Swolley Polley and Tacky Truck

I got home from visiting teaching last night and noticed that my right foot was massively swollen compared to my left. I just wanted to show off my ballooning body parts because they won't be here for much longer (hallelujah!).

Sorry about the grossly not-all-the-way-painted toenails. It's hard to bend over and touch my toes.

I saw this truck at a red light on the way to work this morning. I actually took this with Scott Sorensen in mind. He always takes pictures of "ghetto-rigged" cars- like they think they can carry more then they are supposed to. What I love about this picture is that not only do they have shrubbery piled way too high, but they put ladders and chairs on top of the shrubbery. Doesn't seem too stable to me.

8 months along

As of Sunday I am 8 months along!!! That is far! I am terrified of labor but so exicted for our son to be born. I still can't believe that I am going to be a mom.

I really don't mind being pregnant. The only part I hate is how people react to a pregnant person. I have been told numerous times how massive I am, that I am going to have a huge baby, asked if I'm sure I'm not having twins, told my butt is getting big, told my face has "sure rounded out," and many more that make me too enraged to share. I am done caring, though. I am large and in charge and it's all for my baby boy!

Saturday Nights

Devin has season tickets to the ASU football games, which means I am alone on Saturday nights now. Last Saturday Stacie and I got together and talked about food for about 3 hours straight. What can I say- 2 pregnant girls...food makes us happy. This Saturday Michelle, Leigh Ann, baby Chase and me went to On the Border. Isn't Chase the cutest??

Look closely at this next picture. You may recognize those filth-covered metal things as forks. I saw that Devin put those in the dishwasher and just had to take a picture. Did he really think those would get clean? I mean, come on. Devin is a boy who doesn' t believe in rinsing. The sad thing is, when he saw that I thought it was funny, he confessed that this was actually round 2 for these forks in the dishwasher. Hopefully they'll get clean by round 3 or 4.

3D Ultrasound

We got a sneak peek at our little boy yesterday! He was unfortunately in nap-mode, but we were able to see his face. Don't mind the glare on the pictures; I took pictures of the actual ultrasounds.

What is going on???

3rd car accident in 4 weeks. Is the universe trying to tell me something???

Accident #1 happened while driving to work- was rear-ended by a teenage boy
Accident #2 happened 6 days later while driving to work- I "tapped" the back of an SUV while attempting to catch my jug of water as it was about to spill (only Devin and Selena knew about this one before now...)

This morning, while I was driving to work, I was pulling out of my neighborhood onto cactus rd. when I was sideswiped by a minivan. The police faulted me, citing me for failure to yield while making a left turn. I looked both ways (I am extra careful now that I'm carrying my little baby in my belly), and somehow I missed a minivan. My poor little car really looks rough, now. The back passenger door is all smashed in. The little guys is miraculously still driveable, though.

I am so grateful that my Heavenly Father protected me in all 3 instances (this morning by far the scariest). Does anyone notice a trend of when these accidents seem to happen??? I just wish I wasn't so accident prone lately- because now it is more important than ever that I keep my body safe. My sweet baby depends on it.

So here I am at home, eating Reese's Peanut Butter Cups, reading the last of Breaking Dawn, wishing I was at work but respecting Sweet Devin by staying home (he said that it's my job to take care of the baby, and his job to take care of the both of us...so he decreed that I stay home to make sure we are both ok). So sorry, Cecily, for making you be there when you don't feel good. I hope you feel better fast and that the day passes quickly!!!
