Georgia Trip

I got home from my trip on Monday.

I am feeling the fall-out now that I'm home after having such a good time all last week. "Post-trip depression" is what I call it. Even though I am sad that the fun times are over, I am SO happy to be back with my little Sam (and my little Devin).

Georgia was great. We didn't tell Maw-Maw and Paw-Paw that we were all coming into town (me, Becca, and my parents), so we surprised them by sneaking into their house while their eyes were closed. They both said it was the most surprised they had ever been in their whole lives. Part 2 of their surprise was their huge anniversary party. Whitney was head of the party-planning committee, so she broke us all up into sub- committees. I was on the decorations/mainly just taking care of Mollie committee. Other committees included the food committee and the "getting Maw-Maw and Paw-Paw ready" committee. We all did a great job and the party turned out great! My favorite moments were 1) seeing Paw-Paw's reaction to Maw-Maw's new party outfit and 2) watching Maw & Paw watch the video I made for them. (I had to make the video very very small so that it would upload. Hopefully it is watchable).

Behold the pictures:

reunited sisters

Whitney met Mollie for the first time. Let's just say they really hit it off.

The massive sweet potato that Paw-Paw grew in his garden:

Sisters.

Paw-Paw and happy Mollie

Maw-Maw with the King girls at the party. Notice Maw-Maw's darling new outfit.

Gosh I love them.

Watching their anniversary movie

Mollie is so dang sweet!

I love this picture of Maw-Maw.

Dad and Mollie bonding.

During one of her happy moments:

Me & Becca with our cousin Amber (and our babies). We love Amber so much. She is more like a 4th sister rather than a cousin.

Mollie with her BFF Braxton:

Things moved a little too quickly with the two of them...

Sweet little newborn Vaughn with the "big kids." Hold that head up, buddy!

The rockstar and the beauty queen. Seriously though, look how beautiful Mollie is!!!

Whitney + Mollie = Love

One last group shot before I was taken to the airport:

This is what greeted us when we landed in Chicago for our connecting flight on the way home. Let's just say I was a little nervous taking off on the icy runway.

I am so happy that I was able to go to Georgia to celebrate Maw-Maw and Paw-Paw's 60th anniversary. They mean so much to me. Special thanks to Rich Barry for giving me his available ticket so that I could go!
