Last Thursday night we got a lot of rain out in Surprise. The same day we got rain is also the same day our water wasn't on because we forgot to transfer yet another thing from our apartment! So Devin is about to prepare for my nightly footrub (isn't he sweet?), but stops because my feet are distgustingly dirty. So i decide to go outside in the rain with a bar of soap and wash my nasty feet. After I washed my feet, I got the bright idea that we should fill gallon jubs with rainwater since our water was off. We filled 2 of them, then Devin filtered them with his backpacking water filter. I drank some of the filtered rainwater and it tasted amazing! The next morning Devin helped me wash my hair with the freezing cold rainwater, and my hair has never been so soft!
not bad for free, huh?
This is a picture of my swollen foot. I can't believe the proportions certain things on my body are growing to. I can poke holes in the top of my foot and they'll stay for 3-5 minutes. Devin and me play with my playdough feet during church.

I would have never thought to use the rain water. Good thinking!
And your feet, I'm sorry. Ryan would have to rub my feet too because they would be swollen after standing all day at work. None of my shoes fit anymore. Not even my flip flops, I had to buy bigger ones! Of course, they will go skinny again. It doesn't seem like it but I can't wear my "big" flip flops anymore and I actually stretched out some of my other shoes that I can't wear anymore either. Hang in there! Oh yeah, I stopped wearing my wedding ring at 4 months pregnant cuz of swollen fingers.
Playdough feet? that's the grossest sentence ever!
i want to live off the land. that sounds fun!
The was a fabulous post. I just read it to Adam and we were laughing.
Nice table too!
Tell Dixie that Bessie misses her.
We are nowhere near Glorieta, but we are close to Mexico! Hip hip hooray!
Dude, I'm saying this in the kindest most gentle way I know how, you're feet sound absolutely disgusting.
You guys should come out and camp one of these days. It's 72 right now up here.
your hilarious!! I love rain....I wonder what it tastes like after being filtered......I guess I could try it since it rains here half the year :) Your dog is beautiful...so cute! Bet you love the shedding lol.... and thats a sweet table for free!! I am sorry for your poor feet!!! It could be worse..when my friend was pg she was a size 8 1/2 and she swelled up to a size 10.....so there is a good way to try to be positive :)
o im sorry that is soooo sad! i agree with B that would be fun to live off the land good thinking though i never would have thaught of that either! hahaha well try to stay happy! hahaha and have fun!
o ya and that is sooooo sweet of Devin!
You guys crack me up. You are both so dang creative and cute. Rain water... I bet it was amazingly yummy! He washed your hair for you?! SO CUTE!
Make sure you're drinking a lot of water and eating enough protein... I don't want you to get toxemia like I did. I'm sure half of your weight is all water. Poor girl.
Yeah, like Stacy said, drink a lot of water. I know that gets old but it helps push through the sitting water like in your feet and probably hands. Take baths too. Water helps you in lots of ways. Even rain water. Try walking with Dev too. Even if it's around the block. It will help your poor feet. I know that sounds weird but it will help your circulation.
Okay, I love that Devin washed your hair and cared for your feet. After thirty-three years of marriage, John has never done that!!!!! I could suggest it. :) Somehow, I don't think it will go over very good!!
You're so resourceful...better watch out; they'll make you the emergency preparedness person in your ward. Our ward just ordered some of those water filtering bottles...now I can tell them that "you never know when you may have to use them!" Thank heavens for flip-flops...they will go down after the baby comes! Way to go, Devin...what a great thing to do for your pregnant wife! You guys are great!
